Why vote?

Votes are how we express our preferences. Voting is also how models & photographers make money on Zivity. Our artist leaderboard and our royalty payment system are both powered by community voting. Reward your favorite models and photographers for creating something worth admiring by voting. Turn your favorite models into stars by voting often. (To purchase extra votes, click "Votes" in the top menu). Yes, you can vote multiple times for the same photo set if you really like it!

Where do the photos come from?

Zivity members produce the photography you see. Because we're a model-friendly and artist-friendly company, models have final say in all photo sets we publish.

How do I become a photographer?

Thank you for considering becoming a Zivity photographer. We are eager to have your work promoted on our community-based showcase.

Photographing for Zivity isn't like working as a photographer for other sites or publications. We don't have exclusivity contracts and we won't tell you where to take the photographs, what style to use, what clothing (or lack of it) to use, etc. We do have several rules and requirements that concern the content we present and what we will accept. Most important of these is proper documentation (such as proof of age) and meeting our content guidelines.

Are you an established photographer? Please send us any portfolio information or online links to give us a sense of your style and past work. Email your information to info@zivity.com. We can follow up with you regarding our documentation requirements, licensing, and photo set guidelines.

What sort of photos should I take?

We encourage you to do things your own way or in ways that your model has suggested. There is no one style that works best. We accept photographs of women (including nudes) that promote their beauty, show them respect, and meet our standards of tastefulness. Zivity's goal is promoting female beauty, to allow each woman to shine and be glamorous. Your photographs will be screened by our editorial team, and if they do not fit our standards, they may not be accepted for our website.

How do you determine what to publish on Zivity?

Publishing does not happen instantly. Before a set is published, we double-check that the model has approved the set the photographer uploaded. We also screen content based on color consistency, lighting, focus, clarity, and theme. The photos should contain images of women in all pictures (no scenery only shots), and they should not contain sex acts (for a full description see our Content Guidelines). Another key element is the camera and lens quality. For example, snaps from camera phones and consumer point-and-shoot cameras would typically not pass our quality standards. The editors at Zivity also strive for variety. So if we suddenly get 100 sets with the same theme (like location or style), we may hold or pass on your set. The editors at Zivity look for a variety of Non-Nude, Glamour, Fashion, Pin-Up and Nude photography. Uploading a fully nude set does not improve your chances of being selected for publication. We try to give photographers feedback as quickly as possible regarding the status of our selections. Approximately 50% of submitted content is not published. Don't be discouraged: you can submit another set at any time.

How do I upload my photos?

All photo sets are uploaded via our self-publishing process. The photographer should log on to Zivity and click the Upload Photos link at the bottom of the screen.

Explain your watermark and 1500 pixel minimum size requirement.

Digital cameras 3 megapixels or higher will output photos at least 1500 pixels wide, and Zivity believes in providing the highest quality photographic viewing experience possible to our users. We have a new version of our photo set viewer in the works that offers higher resolution viewing for members with large screens. This new photo set viewer also makes it difficult for members to download the images. Currently we provide users with only medium resolution versions of your photos (roughly 800x500, below print quality resolution). Zivity takes several precautions to protect our artists and their work (watermarking photos with your name, preventing your images from being easily saved). It's worth remembering that when posting any digital content online, if users find it valuable, someone will eventually find a way to copy it.

Can I upload any photographs?

Models do not upload photos. The photos will only be accepted if the photographer uploads them. At Zivity, creating a photo set is a collaborative process, and the uploading process is the photographer's domain. If you are a model, contact your photographer to upload your set to Zivity.

After your photo shoot is complete, work with your photographer to determine which photographs you like. A photo set is typically a collection of 10-35 images with a common theme or story line. Your photographer will submit the photos to Zivity and you will have final sign off on any images that appear on Zivity. There's paperwork though. In order to pay you, we'll need a W-9, a model release, and a proof of age photograph. All models on our site must be over 19 years of age.

When will my photos be published?

All photo sets must have signed paperwork and will be screened by our editorial team to see if they meet the content guidelines. Our artist support team will notify you if we are unable to use your photo set. If the photos are selected, the support team will send you a message the day your set debuts via email or via a message on Zivity.

Posing for a photo shoot sounds fun but a little scary.

That's not exactly a question, but we understand exactly what you mean. First-time photo shoots can be intimidating if you're not sure what to expect. We are in the process of posting tutorials and testimonials from actual Zivity models. See our YouTube channel for footage of actual models talking about their experience. Also check the privacy section of this page for safety tips.

FAQ

Do models and photographers make money?

Yes, we have already distributed payments to all our active models and photographers. We distribute royalties to our artists through our dollar backed voting system. All of our paying subscribers get 5 votes a month to use on their favorite photo sets. They can even buy more if they want. The more votes you get, the more money you make. 80 cents of each vote is split between you and your photographer. Currently the default split is 60 cents for you and 20 cents for the photographer. There's no limit to how many votes you can get.

How does Zivity make money?

Zivity is a subscription service costing $10 per month. Right now, we're giving away a limited number of free one-month trial accounts.

A membership gives you not only access to view and participate, but also 5 monthly votes to be used on the models and photographers of your choosing. Votes are worth one dollar, 80 cents of which is split between the model and the photographer.

How do I post comments?

If you like a particular photo, have a critique, or would like to ask a question, the fastest way to do that is to get in touch with the talent directly via a personal message with your Zivity account. Tell your favorite model what you loved about her photo set, or ask the photographer that burning question you have about lighting or what it's like to be on location.

Safety Tips for Models

It is important that you are safe during a photo shoot! Know your photographer before you shoot. Photographers develop a reputation on the site by producing work. If the photographer hasn't published a set on Zivity, consider doing additional research. For example, if the photographer has a portfolio off Zivity, ask to speak to his or her previous models. If they have a set published on Zivity, reach out to the models using the messaging features on our site. Zivity has met some published photographers, so we may be able to give some guidance. Feel free to contact us via info@zivity.com if you have investigated the options we outlined above and need additional support. Never do anything that makes you uncomfortable. If you do go to a shoot, consider bringing a friend. That should *always* be ok with the photographer.
