Front-end/UI Engineer

Our engineers turn good ideas into great prototypes and evolve those interface prototypes into addictive online experiences. Interface development for us is where the rubber meets the road: where testing, design, development, and content collide. We’re seeking one additional developer who knows the web inside and out to help us become a global multimedia publishing brand that provides fans with top quality tools to support and interact with the artists they love and provides artists with a superior means to access, interact with and grow their fan-bases.

 

Responsibilities:

• Implement core functionality of the company website by designing and implementing website logic that will run efficiently and can be easily maintained.
• Assist in developing specifications for new features and determine technical feasibility.
• Design interface of the features as well as the underlying code, including business logic features that communicate with the company database and client application.
• Create exciting new features from scratch without a design comp, wireframe, or safety net.
• Debug and maintain the website in a variety of environments, including cross-domain and cross-browser implementation.
• Support changes in the generation process of web pages.
• The ideal candidate knows when and why to use tables, has knowledge of when an XMLHTTPRequest is useful versus when it is just cool, and can hand-tune markup for efficient rendering.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

• 3+ years of software or web development experience.
• Expertise in building and maintaining web pages using HTML, CSS, and unobtrusive JavaScript.
• 1-3 years experience in at least one typical web programming language (Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
• Experience with HTML templating systems (Cheetah, Django, Smarty, CakePHP, etc.)
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, including Ajax networking (jQuery, MochiKit, YUI, Dojo, etc.)
• Comfortable with DOM manipulation (beyond innerHTML)
• Expertise with internet/web technologies such as browsers, firewalls, and http.
• Comfortable rendering designs as efficient web-pages.
• Working knowledge of source control software (CVS, Subversion, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience.

Flash Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design and build robust, data-driven applications in Flash using ActionScript.
• Deliver stable, and well-performing results on projects varying in complexity and duration.
• Work closely with Product Team and other members of the Engineering team create new features.

• Solid in computer science and want a position that leverages your broad experience from back-end to front-end.
• Stay up-to-date with technologies because it's cool, not because you need it for a job.

Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst who has the competence and desire to manipulate raw data in countless ways and use that data to make brilliant insights and recommendations to the executive team that will help shape the future of our business. This position combines accounting and financial analysis with deep analysis of consumer metrics.

If you are the right fit for this position, you are a numbers geek and proud of it. You have a deep understanding of accounting and you love data. You can do P&Ls and cash flow projections in your sleep and you are an Excel guru who loves a good pivot table. Perhaps most importantly, you are experienced with and extremely interested in consumer metrics and you want to work for a company where hard data drives business decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial and consumer metrics data, analysis, insights and recommendations to the executive team.
• Play a key role in determining and evaluating key performance indicators and metrics.
• Develop financial forecasts/models and help review critical decisions.
• Drive the design and content of periodic financial reporting.
• Budget development and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Provide financial reports on an ad hoc basis.
• Special projects, as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

• BA or BS in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Math or related field; MBA preferred.
• 4+ years relevant work experience.
• SQL experience (specifically, writing queries) a HUGE plus.
• Superb analytical and modeling skills. In-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance.
• Excel guru.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task, plan, execute, and deliver on projects in a timely manner.
